The Democratic Ticket Is Too Radical on Abortion

We must elect leaders who are committed to protecting women and their unborn children.

In August of 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris selected one of the most radical politicians in the nation to be her VP pick for the 2024 Presidential race. Who did she choose? The Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz. Walz has one of the most radical and extreme views on abortion, and even pro-choice people are pushing back on his policies. We all know that both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz hold extreme views on abortion, but this ticket could implement these laws across the nation, making any chances of saving the unborn smaller and smaller. The bills they promote and the communication they direct toward the American people should motivate us to show up at the polls this November and vote NO on any radical abortion bills.

One of the prime examples of Tim Walz's extreme abortion views is found in the bills that passed for the state of Minnesota. In 2023, Walz passed House Bill 366, also known as the Protect Reproductive Options Act or “PRO Act.” Not only does it allow abortions at all stages, but it also includes protection for abortion doctors from being prosecuted or arrested for the murder of the unborn. He also made Minnesota the first state to codify Roe v. Wade, meaning that even though Minnesota already has a full abortion plan in action, this would make any chances of overturning the rule impossible. Since taking office as governor, Tim Walz has overseen more than 12,100 abortions in 2023, compared to just over 10,000 abortions in 2021. This number also includes out-of-state abortions. Are there any limits stated? The answer is no, and Tim Walz blissfully signed this bill that would make abortion legal up to full term.

Let’s not forget one of the most radical vice presidents we have seen in the last three years, who is honestly running the country at this point: Kamala Harris. Harris rose to prominence after her time as a District Attorney in San Francisco, California. During her tenure, she went after many pro-life activists and pregnancy centers. David Daleiden, a pro-life activist who exposed Planned Parenthood for selling baby body parts, had his apartment raided by Harris’ Attorney General’s Office and was then charged with fifteen felonies. This heinous act, performed by Kamala Harris, was an extreme violation of the First Amendment rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. Furthermore, Harris’ DA record gets more extreme by the day. She was the co-sponsor of a California state bill that requires pregnancy centers to direct clients toward abortion clinics. Thankfully, that was shut down due to free speech violations. One thing both of these candidates have in common is that they want full-term abortions to be allowed, and they do not want anyone to stop it.

Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, pro-choice or pro-life, one thing is certain: the abortion views held by both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are too extreme for America. It has reached the point where this has gone too far, and not only does this hurt women, but it also hurts their unborn children. The Declaration of Independence states that Americans have the right to “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” The government does not have the right to show up at your door or when you take your pregnancy test to tell you the only way out is an abortion. So this November, pay attention to the presidential election and also pay attention to your local elections regarding who is too radical on abortion. Be cautious of the text in any bills as well. If there are no limits or the wording is too vague, do not vote for that bill, as it specifies no limits. We must keep fighting to protect the unborn and elect leaders who are committed to protecting women and their unborn children.
